Why Natural Sciences?

I chose natural sciences because I was interested in biology but knew I didn’t want to study medicine. Going into my final year, I now specialise in immunology and virology which currently has a huge global reach.

Why Cambridge?

Scotland is quite a small place and I went to a very small all girls school. I loved every minute of my time there but when I left, I really wanted to spread my wings a bit. Looking at universities in England, and in particular Cambridge was initially daunting but i’m so glad I did – it is great!

Beyond the boat..

Before I started coxing, I played hockey at school and rounders for Scotland. I also did loads of Highland and Scottish Country dancing. I like to read when I have time and I also love to drink tea!

I started coxing in my first year at Cambridge at Caius. I love the atmosphere at CUWBC and the togetherness that you feel as part of the squad.
