Rowing for Cambridge has always been a life changing experience and the current team owe a great debt to the crews who have gone before. The incredible women who challenged convention and battled against popular opinion to pave the way for the current team to follow.
Every woman (and man) who has ever represented Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club in the Boat Races becomes a member of our alumni family. Our network extends around the globe, with LightBlue supporters cheering us on from far and wide!

CUWBC has three Boat Race Crews, the Blue Boat, our Reserve Crew ‘Blondie’ and our Lightweight eight. From 1975 until 2015 all our crews raced their Boat Race at Henley on Thames.
In 2015 our Blue Boat and ‘Blondie’ crew started racing from Putney to Mortlake.
