CUWBC Alumni Brunch

CUWBC Alumni Brunch

On Sunday 25th September after a rowing practice out at Ely, many of the 2016/17 Squad will be atGoldie Boathouse Cambridge to meet alumni and Cambridge University rowing friends to enjoy our Alumni Brunch.

Meeting alumni is a really special experience for our current students, who enjoy comparing notes and seeing where things have changed, and where some things remain the same (- long hard ergos….. say no more!)

The CUWBC brunch has been a wonderful chance to connect and reconnect with alumni over the past few years. It’s always special to catch up with crew mates from recent Boat Race campaigns, and also learn from members with experience across the Club’s history – while also enjoying the great baking! Melissa Wilson (Blue Boat 2013/14/15) said:

“This year with the anticipated opening of the new Boathouse in Ely there is much to celebrate. For the first time, CUWBC will have a place to call home and this has only been possible due to the generosity of the alumni and friends and family of CUWBC. So it’s really good to be able to say thank you to those who have made this new and better future possible.”

So when you wonder – Should I come along? Please do, because you are important to the next generation of CUWBC, and whatever new building there may be, it will always be our members who sit at the heart of the club! Places are still available and can be booked by clicking here.
