25 Jan The Impact of Giving
Since foundation in 1941 Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club (CUWBC) has become a world-class university boat club. The Club has a proud heritage of developing athletes from novice to elite and we have an impressive record of wins against Oxford.
We are extremely grateful to the Parasol Foundation Trust who, through the Cambridge Trust, has enabled our Club to continue to give the next generations of student-athletes the experience of a lifetime, continuing to build on the foundations of success put in place over the last 90 years.
Support from the Parasol Foundation has supported the building of the Cambridge University Boathouse in Ely, a facility which has been completely game-changing for our Club.
Siobhan Cassidy, Vice-Chair of CUWBC said;
“We are incredibly grateful to The Parasol Foundation who have supported CUWBC in our aims to upgrade our facilities and support as part of becoming the leading world-class university rowing club that we aim to be. The Parasol Foundation has recognised the valuable life long and professional advantages being a scholar athlete brings to our students as they learn through academia and sport – thank you!”
