27 Jan CUWBC to Begin 2017 Racing at Quintin Head
Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club (CUWBC) will race on the Tideway for the first of many times this year as they race in the Quintin Head tomorrow (Saturday 28 January). The event marks the start of a busy few months for the Club with just 64 days to go until the Cancer Research UK Boat Race and 57 days until Henley Boat Races.
The club will field three eights to compete against other universities and open clubs from across the country. The crews will race over a section of the Boat Race course from Hammersmith to Chiswick with the race starting at 12:15pm.
The CUWBC boats for Quintin Head have been formed following a successful training camp in Banyoles, Spain. They are entered across three different categories with the lead boat racing in the elite category (crew number 67), starting behind the University of London Boat Club.
The 2nd 8 will start number 107 and the 3rd 8 which is from the CUWBC Lightweight Squad 111.
