Welcome home to CUWBC!

As we all know, the CUWBC community extends beyond our crews, there have always been many other people who are an important part of the CUWBC family, supporting the achievements of our crews.

For so many of us, the time we spent on the river, in the gym or in a minibus to and from outings were the happiest. Friendships were made, friendships were tested and together we achieved things we might not have thought possible before we came to Cambridge and started rowing for CUWBC.

Over the past 75 years a determined and ambitious group of young women have represented Cambridge University and have been supported by alumni, parents, friends, coaches and business. This support has been critical to the continued success at our Varsity races and within the national and international rowing arena.

Without doubt, the skills that were developed in the boathouse have been put to good use in professional and personal lives all over the world. We connect with our alumni and friends through a dedicated programme of reunions and events, e-newsletters and correspondence.

Whether as an ambassador, volunteer or donor, you could once again play an important role in helping your club, and young women just like you to achieve their potential and reach their goals – on and off the water.

We rely on our incredible members’ support and we recognise that amongst our alumni there is a huge range of capabilities, skills and energy. We would love to harness more of that – or even offer you new opportunities to develop skills. Giving time is just as valuable to as supporting us financially. If you are interested in getting more involved, in whatever capacity, or know someone who might be, please contact us with your details, skills and availability. We would love to hear from you and are grateful for any support you can give.
